Dear AB 351 Fans,
The opposition thinks we have packed up and gone home for the summer. We need to let them know that’s not the case, as soon as possible.
AB 351 is being deliberately held back in the Committee on Education. We have the votes to pull AB 351 out of Committee, but the Chair is refusing to put it on the agenda. This is highly unusual in the Committee on Education and has not been done for the past three chairmanships.
In addition to state-wide supporters of AB 351, if you know anyone in Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Woodland Hills, Malibu, Westlake Village – teachers, principals, students, parents, community members -- please have them contact Assembly Member Julia Brownley immediately and ask her to let democracy work.
To move forward, only one person, Ms. Brownley, stands between AB 351 and a successful vote on the Assembly floor. We need 50 calls and/or emails to Ms. Brownley’s office immediately at:
Assemblymember.Brownley@assembly.ca.gov
AND/OR
Tel: (818) 596-4141
Again, these can be students, parents, teachers, principals, community members. Marching band, JROTC, cheer, drill team and color guard all have a stake in this.
The message is short and simple: “Let freedom ring! Please let AB 351 be voted on in Committee.”
Thank you for all of your help. As always, we will posting updates on www.AB351.org. We are very close here and this is terribly important. Clearly, the opposition believes they can make this die in committee and skirt the entire democratic process. They need to hear freedom ring.

Thanking those Committee Members who have promised to vote for AB 351 in the Committee on Education would also be highly effective. Encourage them to talk with Ms. Brownley about this miscarriage of the democratic process. They are:
